However, in Pakistan, the Punjab Examination Commission (PEC) is responsible for evaluating pupils’ academic performance from grades 1 to 8. The PEC checks how much students know by giving them oral exams, written exams, and practical assessments.
The PEC conducts two kinds of exams: the annual exam and the supplementary exam. The Annual Examination is held at the end of each academic year, whereas the Supplementary Examination is held following the announcement of the results for retakes or improvements. The PEC examination system is used all over the province to judge how well students in grades I through VIII are doing in school.
The Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board’s curriculum serves as the foundation for the examination (PCTB). Parts A and B of the PEC examination are distinct. Part A covers Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. Part B covers subjects including Islamiat-Pakistan Studies, English, and Urdu.
Science for Grade 7 SBA Paper 2023
The Punjab School Education Department will now use PEC item banks to administer annual exams to grade 8 students. In the previous two years, the Punjab school education department has revised the policy and method of administering the grade 7 exam. Exams currently administered at the school level. Paper marking is also the responsibility of school teachers. And the teacher of the class will issue the report card.
A school-based assessment will be conducted in all Punjab Province schools. The PEC creates many versions of the subject for the school-based assessment. All of these variants are then shared in the form of an item bank. Teachers now recommend to select and print appropriate paper.
